Our Team                                                    May 2026 Update: At present, Dr Pascal Kethers is the only GP accepting new patients

Dr Francesco Lentini qualified as a GP in London in 2004 and has since built a distinguished career in medicine. He serves as a teacher for the Royal New Zealand College of GP's where he finds great fulfillment in mentoring and educating Registrars—doctors who are new to general practice. He enjoys the dynamic nature of general practice and values the long-lasting relationships he has developed with patients and their families over the years. Dr. Lentini has special interests in paediatrics, travel medicine, skin care, and minor surgery. Francesco is fluent in Italian.

Dr Asima Dervishi graduated with a medical degree from Otago University in 2008 and after graduation moved back to Auckland and has been living on the North Shore ever since. She completed her medical training in local hospitals, mainly at North Shore Hospital. Asima grew up in Bosnia and Herzegovina and came in NZ in 1993 with her family as a war refugee. She has always aspired to be a GP and thoroughly enjoys working in the community where she can make a positive impact on the lives of her patients​.
Asima is fluent in Serbo-Croatian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian.

Dr Vanessa Ng was born and raised in Auckland. She graduated from the University of Auckland and worked in the Hawkes Bay for a few years as a junior doctor before returning to Auckland for GP training. She has postgraduate training and a special interest in women’s health, including IUD procedures.
On her days off she enjoys reading, spending time with family, dancing for fun and exercise, along with baking sweet treats and keeping a balanced lifestyle. 
Dr Ng is not currently enrolling new patients

Dr Anna Bedbrook became a  permanent member after her time with us as a GP register in 2007.
Now with two children of her own, Anna has valuable first-hand experience in dealing with childhood problems. She has a wide range of GP skills acquired during her postgraduate training, with special interest in women’s health issues. 
Dr Bedbrook is not currently enrolling new patients

Dr Faye Welsh grew up in Argentina but trained and qualified as a GP in the UK, where she worked in the northeast of England until her family moved to Auckland in 2013. She enjoys paediatrics and minor surgery, women’s health particularly around contraception and fertility. When Faye is not doctoring, she enjoys being a mum of two and spending time with friends and family. She enjoys training for short triathlons to keep fit and relaxing with a book and a cup of tea.
Faye is fluent in Spanish.

Dr John Lee was originally born in South Korea but moved to NZ in 2006. He has lived locally on the North Shore ever since, attending Rosmini College in Takapuna. He graduated from Auckland University medical school in 2018 and has completed junior doctor training across all three hospitals in Auckland including attachments in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Obstetrics/Gynaecology. Outside of medicine, John is interested in sports and bodybuilding/nutrition. He is happiest keeping active and spending time with family.

​Dr Anna Herriott graduated from Auckland Medical School and has completed her training at North Shore Hospital. She has gained experience in Women’s health issues from working at Family Planning Clinics. During her hospital placements she gained experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, fertility and Mental Health. She has an interest in paediatrics and chronic care management. Anna joined Mairangi Medical Centre in 2010 and now with two children of her own, Anna has valuable first-hand experience in dealing with children’s health.

Dr Nicholas Leydon was born and raised in the East Coast Bays where he attended the local schools including Rangitoto College.
He graduated from the University of Auckland medicine school in 2014 before working in all four Auckland hospitals over the following three years in a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. He completed his postgraduate diploma in paediatrics in 2016 and joined Mairangi Medical Centre in 2018.

​Dr Pascal Kethers grew up in Germany before moving to the East Coast Bays in 2008 where he attended the local Rangitoto College. He graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School and has worked at Wellington and New Plymouth Hospital before starting at Mairangi Medical Centre.  He completed his postgraduate diploma in paediatrics in 2023. Dr Kethers has a special interests in skin care, minor surgery and paediatrics.
​Pascal
 loves the outdoors, enjoys hiking and going for runs.

Pascal is fluent in German.

Dr Lia uit de Bosch was born and raised in Auckland and attended Kristin School. Graduating from the University of Auckland Medical school in 2014 before working in all four Auckland hospitals over the following three years in a wide range of medical and surgical specialities. Lia joined Mairangi Medical Centre in 2020 and has a special interest in Women’s health for which she is currently completing a postgraduate certificate.
When Lia is not working, she is busy mum to two young daughters, who keep her on her toes and fill her days with laughter and energy.
Dr Lia uit de Bosch is currently on maternity leave and hopes to return around April 2027 and therefore is not currently enrolling new patients​ ​

Dr Sashika Samaranayaka is originally from Dunedin, she attended Otago girls High school before completing a bachelors in Pharmacy. In practice as a pharmacist for 5 years she worked in the both community and hospital pharmacies gaining invaluable experience. She then proceeded to pursue her passion of becoming a doctor and graduated from Otago University medical college. Since graduating she has worked as a General medicine Registrar at all 4 Auckland hospitals with a special interest in adult medicine prior to starting her GP training. In her spare time you will find Sash spending time with family and friends, exercising, or spending time with her dogs. 
​Dr Sash is currently on maternity leave and will return around July 2026

Dr Georgia Yarrow was born and raised in Auckland until the age of 12 when she moved overseas with her family. She returned to complete a BA Philosophy and Spanish at Auckland University. She has spent time living in Canada, the USA, France, Spain and Italy before moving to Australia to study graduate medicine at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, graduating in 2017. She worked for two years in Australia prior to returning to NZ, working at both North Shore Hospital and Auckland Hospital before starting with us. 
​Dr Yarrow is planning on starting her Maternity leave June 2026 and therefore is currently not enrolling new patient.

Meet our new Registrar Dr Ellie McGirr who will be joining the team in August 2026

​Dr Ellie McGirr grew up in Auckland and completed a Bachelor of Science at Auckland University before completing her medical degree at Otago University. She is currently a registrar training to be a GP, but prior to this worked as a surgical registrar at Auckland Hospital. Outside of medicine she enjoys exercise, skiing, diving and spending time with family and friends.

Meet our amazing Nurses! You will likely come into contact with one of our nurses when vising our practice. They are Katherine (Nurse Team Leader), Selina, Bo, Helen, Dana, Jie and Natalie.

Meet Cindy, our dedicated Healthcare Assistant. She joined the team in 2019 as a receptionist, where her passion for patient care quickly became evident. In 2022, Cindy transitioned into her current role and now plays an important part in supporting patient care, including carrying out general health screenings and administering Flu vaccinations. She has also achieved a Level 4 Healthcare Certificate, reflecting her commitment to continually developing her skills and delivering
                                                  high-quality care.

​Linda Page, Counsellor
Linda has been consulting at Mairangi Bay since 1997. She has a BA, Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Applied Mental Health, and is a Member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors, and she is ACC registered. Our receptionists are the public face of Mairangi Medical Centre, and handle the telephone enquiries, appointment bookings and account payments. At the front desk, or on the phone, you are likely to meet 
Kayla (Assistant Practice Manager), Debbie, Michelle, Ellie, Kathie and Tricia.

Our Practice Manager, Rebecca Turner, oversees the day-to-day operations of our practice, ensuring everything runs smoothly. She handles both routine tasks and tackles more complex inquiries with skill and efficiency, providing vital support to our patients and staff. Rebecca plays a key role in maintaining the high standards of care and service we strive to deliver every day.

Our Business Manager, Rakhi Jaison, oversees the development and execution of key business initiatives, ensuring they align with our long-term plan for growth. Rakhi's responsibilities include coordinating non-clinical operations within our practice, optimising processes to enhance efficiency and support our commitment to delivering high-quality care. Her leadership and expertise play a vital role in our practice.
